This hoverboard battery replacement will fit most hoverboards, especially those from 2015, 2016, and 2017. This is a basic battery, and contains standard lithium ion cells wrapped in heat shrink film. This battery will last for around 300 charges before it degrades to a level where it may need to be replaced so that is about a year of use.
For a higher quality battery, we recommend buying a UL certified hoverboard battery with Samsung cells. The UL battery is UL2271 certified and is made to higher specifications. Most people think its worth the money.
Please be sure that this is the hoverboard battery that you need to buy. A general rule of thumb is that if it looks the same, then it will work for your hoverboard. The heat shrink is sometimes a different color, but that does not matter.
The standard voltage is 36v, and comes with 4.4aH of charge (158wh). Some batteries may have 42v written on them too, but we find that this is usually only in relation to the charger and not the battery.
If you are handy and take a voltage measurement reading with a multimeter, you will want to generally replace any batteries with a reading of 30v or less. We've even found that some batteries under 32v will randomly stop working.
You may want to open your hoverboard to be sure this is the battery replacement that you need. This battery is mainly used in 6.5in, 8in, and 10in hoverboards.

Due to the nature of our business being the sale and installation of replacement electronic parts, there are no returns allowed unless considered DOA (dead on arrival). In the case of DOA parts, you must contact us within 14 days and we will dispatch replacement parts to exchange for the DOA parts.
If we decide to accept a return for any reason it is at our sole discretion and your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, you must have purchased it on our website www.hoverboardrepair.com as we require a receipt / proof of purchase.
Any item that is returned without an RMA will be denied a refund. You must contact us prior to returning goods in order to have your return accepted.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable)
If we approved a return for you and you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sale Items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. Sale items are denoted by a special price with the regular price struck out.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items that have manufacturer defects or were delivered in damaged condition. WE DO NOT EXCHANGE ITEMS THAT WERE DAMAGED DURING INSTALL. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and any loss by a shipping company is not our responsibility.
