How Does the Repair Service Work?
NOTE: You must pay for and create your own label to ship your broken hoverboard to us using the address above. The return shipping is included in your price at checkout.
How to Package the Hoverboard
You would be surprised at how poorly some of our customers package their hoverboard, expecting it to be shipped back to them and not be broken again during the return shipping process. We highly recommend reading this detailed guide on how to package a hoverboard for mail.
If you're unable to find the original box, then please package the hoverboard at least 2 inches from the outside of the box using bubble wrap no less than 1/2" thick, wrapped around the hoverboard tightly so it doesn't come loose. Packing peanuts are an absolute nightmare. Its drafty in our repair shop so please don't do this to us.
If for some reason, you do send us the hoverboard in packaging that we can't use to return back to you, please do us both a favor and contact us about purchasing a new hoverboard box and we'll gladly package your repaired hoverboard in it on its return back to you so it reaches you safely.
How am I charged?
For most repairs, the charge is simply the flat rate fee as seen on this page. If your hoverboard is acutely damaged, such as having been water damaged, numerous problems, or a DIY repair gone bad, then we may request an additional fee or consider it irreparable.
How long does it take?
We typically fix your hoverboard within 1 week of receiving it. Exceptions are made for hoverboards that have previously been worked on, have been damaged by water, have special parts, or have been damaged during transit to us.
How much is return shipping?
Shipping back to you is based on your location and is calculated at checkout when you pay. We will ship all hoverboards via ground shipping from UPS or USPS.
What if I live in Canada, Hawaii, or Alaska?
We can still fix your hoverboard. You will however need to remove your battery prior to shipping it to us, as the batteries are prohibited from being shipped on a plane. If you ship your hoverboard to us from any of these restricted locations, we will not be able to return your battery.

In the situation that your hoverboard is deemed to be irreparable, we will contact you asking if you would like your hoverboard returned to you or if you'd like us to dispose of it for you.
Repair Process & Refunds
Once we have received your hoverboard the repair process has begun and no refunds will be given. We first inspect the outer packaging, noting any damage and how you packaged it. We then carefully open the package and search for your hoverboard repair request form.
Once we know who the hoverboard belongs to, we perform a diagnosis on the broken hoverboard. After our diagnosis, we determine if we have the hoverboard parts in stock and either perform the repair, or order the parts needed. After repairing the hoverboard, we package it up in the same box it was received in and return it to you.
Due to the nature of our business being the sale and installation of replacement electronic parts, there are no returns allowed unless considered DOA (dead on arrival). In the case of DOA parts, you must contact us within 14 days and we will dispatch replacement parts to exchange for the DOA parts.
If we decide to accept a return for any reason it is at our sole discretion and your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, you must have purchased it on our website www.hoverboardrepair.com as we require a receipt / proof of purchase.
Any item that is returned without an RMA will be denied a refund. You must contact us prior to returning goods in order to have your return accepted.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable)
If we approved a return for you and you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
Sale Items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. Sale items are denoted by a special price with the regular price struck out.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items that have manufacturer defects or were delivered in damaged condition. WE DO NOT EXCHANGE ITEMS THAT WERE DAMAGED DURING INSTALL. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and any loss by a shipping company is not our responsibility.
